School is now in session and we're heading into the second week. Jeremy was exhausted after forgetting how demanding school can be, not to forget about the two hour commute he makes everyday. But he's managed to make friends and study partners. For the annual kick off, SMC (Samuel Merritt College), has their softball tournament and BBQ. Each class put together a team in order to raise money for their white coat ceremonies. Class of 2011 took 3rd place and Jeremy was the best catcher the team could ask for.
As far as Zoe and I go....we manage the apartments and keep busy looking after the tenants. Everyone keeps asking if there are any scary people in the complex and my answer to you is: we're definitely not in Utah anymore. I found out the other day that one tenant is an ex-convict, but luckily today they gave me their 30-day notice. Everyone else pretty much keeps to themselves while they struggle to pay their rent. But on the bright side I'm loving where I live. I've been able to attend the farmers market which is awesome. Fresh fruit and vegetables and all the yummy kettle corn you could ask for! The best is even if you don't have any money, you can still go around getting all the free samples :) This is how you manage to live on a very tight budget, but still enjoy yourselves.
The biggest news of all is that our little one is rolling over. She has perfected the sport. Sometimes I even think she's crawling because she's never in the spot I left her. I think she has adjusted to her new home since she started sleeping through the night again. She's become a tummy sleeper and due to the lack of crib I always find her squished up against her bassinet wall. Poor thing...but we are crib shopping as we speak! I wanted to post some pictures but we are missing our battery charger...so hopefully it will re-appear and I'll post some video footage as well.
