The Corbridge's have decided to be closer to family! I am now feeling we made the wiser decision to attend school in California rather than Iowa. Not only does the warm weather suit me, having family close by has made life more enjoyable for our little family. Seeing Grandparents' faces light up for my little Zoe has made me feel so honored to be a mom. I, in particular, have not always lived so close to my family, but am now reaping the rewards of doing so. Coming from a family of six children, I being the youngest, we have all ventured our own ways, exploring ourselves and the world. Not until recently we have begun to settle within our own growing families. I can remember my first Christmas as a college student living away from home. I had decided to move to Utah and live with my sister. We spent Christmas morning opening a few gifts my parents had sent out for us. No tree, no stocking, just each other. I wasn't sad not spending the special day with my parents and other siblings, but rather content knowing I didn't need them by my side at all times. I'm very independent (still this day) and my parents can contest that I was ready to move out of the house by age 16. With all that is said and done, I am so happy to be close to family. Though owning a house in Iowa was tempting, managing ghetto apartments in Concord takes the lead if it means spending more time with loved ones.
So we are very happy to have Sierra, Eric, and the boys (maybe a girl....??) be close to our little family. We wish you the best of luck with your change of scenery and we cross our fingers you have a little girl! Here are the pictures of little Hadley and Zoe playing while everyone else was helping with the move.
