A Baby Shower.

This last weekend, I threw my sister-in-law a baby shower with the help of my other sister-in-law and mother-in-law. She is having a little girl after already having three boys. I couldn't help myself, little girls are just too cute! We were hoping to get her started with some clothes and diapers and I think we accomplished our task. Thank heavens for little girls, they always give us a reason to party!

All of the cousins (except Lukas) watching cartoons while we were preparing for the festivities. Such a treat for Little Z since we don't have the luxury of TV in our home. But she and Hads only lasted about 20 minutes before they ventured outside together and hit the dirt.
I found the idea of a diaper wreath online and it was a great door display for when the guests arrived.

A diaper cake is always a great decoration as well as a useful gift for the mother. I opted for the more simple look of ribbons and flowers rather than decorating it with baby goods.
Here are the favors I made. I found the idea on this website and then made them to fit the theme. They are full size Hershey and Crunch bars. Most all women love chocolate, I think I may be the only exception.
And of course, we can't forget the cupcakes. I have too much fun with fondant and it's so dang easy!! My sister-in-law and I had fun being creative.
Overall it was a great success! I enjoy throwing a good party so if you ever need some help, just ask! I'd be more than happy.
