Using up my stash.

My goal this year is to use up my materials. I'm trying to condense my belongings instead of adding to the mess (uh, I mean stash). So I'm trying to come up with larger crocheting projects. I saw the pattern for this bag and decided to go for it. Only problem was that the pattern was written in Portuguese! I emailed my sister in hopes she could translate for me, but I ended up figuring out the chart that was included in the pattern. I didn't quite follow the pattern as I thought it was written a little different, but I made it work in the end. I ended up giving this bag to my sister for her birthday and I'm told my niece took to it first. The flower was made with an alligator clip so it could have multiple uses if wanted.

I also made this little hat for my newest niece who was born on Valentines Day! It was the perfect fit and a cute prop for her photos as well.

Such a cute bag! I've added about 15 balls of yarn to my "stash" this year! Ha. Derek is hating it. So expect a homemade crocheted gift this May!! :o)
