Seymour Center.

After Christmas Papa J was able to take some time off of work and spend the week with us girls. It was so nice to have him around more and the girls absolutely loved spending time with daddy. So as a family we headed to the Seymour Center in Santa Cruz. We first discovered this place while vacationing nearby over Memorial weekend and thought it would be fun to return and take the girls to see the sharks again. They were very excited to say the least.

The sharks were very friendly and the girls loved petting them.

They also of course loved the starfish and couldn't get enough of them.

After exploring the entire inside, we decided to take their tour. They have a couple of dolphins at the end of the tour that you can see, but you can't get real close to them. Unfortunately at the time of our tour the dolphins were just swimming around and not performing tricks, but the girls still loved to see them and it reminded Z of our trip to Sea World with her uncle.

While we waited for the tour to start we had fun looking through the telescopes into the ocean. We spotted a few sea lions and a few surfers too.

The girls were able to see the skeleton of a whale and even touch real whale bones.

It was nice to get out and spend time as a family. It's not often that we get time to just ourselves and it was good to take advantage of Papa J's time off.

That looks like fun! My kids would love that place. Too bad we're clear across the country, we could be doing all this with you!
