Mullet, no more.

Something possessed me to do it and I'm not sure what it was. But it was powerful. I've toggled with the idea for quite some time, but couldn't gather enough courage to actually do it. But the other day it happened.

I cut my little girls hair.

For some that may be nothing, but for me, it took a lot of guts. My girls are defined by their hair when they are infants. For Z, it stood straight up and made her more noticeable and different. For Cici, it was the mullet and the length of her locks at her young age. I guess I am over it now. My main reasoning behind the chopping was to have her hair appear thicker and allow it to grow out more evenly. After all it is just hair and it will grow back.

At first it was a little hard getting used to and Papa J almost got mad at me. Almost. But we both agree it is better and she is still as cute as ever. And just for keeper's sake, I saved those beautiful locks. And I hope to not have to cut it for a long while because it was very difficult to cut a wiggling infant's hair. It ended up being a shorter than I anticipated, but again, it is just hair.

What do you think?

She is still one cute little girl! Her hair will grow back so I wouldn't worry too much.

Cute, cute, cute! My kids don't grow enough hair to cut. But my sister swears by the "cut it when they're small so it'll come in nicer" rule.

Whew! That is short, but I totally agree with you about the mullet thing. Somehow I've always felt like if my girls didn't have the "right" hair they were off looking. Just me and my insecure self esteem over here. Teigan was called a boy for the first two years of her life...even while dressed in PINK! But whatever, Brielle has a mullet-type style now and I'm not bothered about cutting. I'm surprised a little that Z hasn't tried chopping her sister's locks. Yet. hehe. Welcome to my house.

I like it. It makes her look more grown up though. Grant's hair always grows fast and long on the bottom so I'm sure if you change your mind about the mullet her's will grow back soon :)
